Those skies... that view... this place... if you were ever trying to imagine the perfect setting for the biggest day of your life we think this would come pretty close.  After Gillian and Paul first asked us to help with the design of their day we made the drive to visit the venue perched on the very west coast of Scotland and we were totally won over. But not just by the setting but also by the calmness of the place itself.  The perfectly dreamy white gallery space allowed us to create something really special for this couple. We loved getting to know them and bring their style to reality.  We drew inspiration from the nearby beach to create a chilled out, soft and classy feel. Custom hand painted pebbles, that had been naturally worn by the sea, were used as place settings with pretty calligraphy and gnarly drift wood to style the centre of the tables.  White muslin fabric waves swept between the ceiling beams interspersed with white wash eucalyptus garlands, feature pendant lighting over the top table and a sea of candle-light to soften the space, creating an intimate atmosphere. We also used a palette of greys and white taken from the changing skies and wild sea to create a handpainted bespoke watercolour guest book installation. Those same colours were then pulled out and used in the details throughout the scheme such as, linen bamboo flags, driftwood signage, dip painted driftwood garlands and hanging fabric table plan which were all custom made to complete the overall transformation.
